Robinsons Bookshop is one of the largest and oldest established bookshops in Victoria. With around 45,000 titles in stock at any time, and some 1500 new ones arriving every month, we are well placed to serve all the needs of book lovers on the Mornington Peninsula and throughout the southern suburbs of Melbourne.

We publish two in-house new release catalogues each month. BookNews highlights all the new general releases from adult and children's fiction to new music and DVD releases. Our other publication is entitled Romance Review and features forthcoming romance novels from USA and local publishers. You can download these publication free from this site.

The Shadow of the Wind

Barcelona 1945: young Daniel Sempere is taken to a fabulous secret library called the Cemetery of Forgotten Books where he is told he must ‘adopt’ a single book, promising to care for it and keep it alive always.

Entranced by his chosen book, The Shadow of the Wind by Julian Carax, Daniel begins a quest to find the truth about the life and death of its mysterious author. He starts to fall into a game of mirrors, reflecting strange discoveries about obsession and love, and how they are entwined within the shadow world of books.
