Robinsons Bookshop is one of the largest and oldest established bookshops in Victoria. With around 45,000 titles in stock at any time, and some 1500 new ones arriving every month, we are well placed to serve all the needs of book lovers on the Mornington Peninsula and throughout the southern suburbs of Melbourne.

We publish two in-house new release catalogues each month. BookNews highlights all the new general releases from adult and children's fiction to new music and DVD releases. Our other publication is entitled Romance Review and features forthcoming romance novels from USA and local publishers. You can download these publication free from this site.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Mary Ann Shaffer was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, in 1934. Her career included libraries, bookstores, and publishing. She became interested in Guernsey while visiting London in 1976. Many years later, when goaded by her book club to write a novel, Mary Ann naturally thought of Guernsey. Several years of work yielded The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which was greeted with enthusiasm, first by her family, then by her writing group, and finally by publishers around the world. Sadly, Mary Ann’s health began to decline shortly thereafter, and she asked her niece, Annie Barrows, to help her finish the book. Mary Ann died in February 2008, knowing that her novel was to be published in English and in translation in many languages throughout the world.
