Allen & Unwin is one of Australia's leading independent publishers and distributors. We have been voted "Publisher of the Year" by Australian Booksellers in 1992 (the inaugural award), 1996, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Hachette Livre Australia is a consumer book publisher which both publishes Australian authors and distributes a wide variety of imported books and other materials for children and adults. Titles are published in the areas of literary and popular fiction and non-fiction, biography, autobiography, current affairs, sport, lifestyle, health and self help, humour, travel, Australiana and history. Hachette Livre is also the Australian distributor for Piatkus Books, PQ and M.I.L.K.

Murdoch Books is an independent, international book publishing company, under private Australian ownership. From its humble beginnings in 1946, Penguin Australia has become the largest and most successful publisher in the country. Today, Penguin publishes books across various formats embracing fiction, non-fiction, reference and illustrated books and children’s fiction and non-fiction.

Random House Australia (RHA) is part of the Random House Group, one of the largest publishing houses in the world, owned by the German media company Bertelsmann AG. Carl Bertelsmann established his company in 1835, and early publications included the poems of Lord Byron, hymnals and the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.
